Skye Gundam

The complete version of the Gundam Velocity, in my Gundam doujinshi. This is what the Gundam Velocity is supposed to be, but it was never completed.

A number of things are different. There are three thrusters on the back of each leg, and one in front, just under the kneecap, as well as thrusters on the bottom of the feet. Four standard thrusters, with the same power as Gundam Velocity, on the back. The biggest upgrade here, is the six Mega Verniers on the back. Two on the back, two on the shoulders, and two on the lower back. Each one of these Mega Verniers is capable of turning in nearly any direction, more than the picture shows. There are four vulcans in the head section now, and the hidden working arms inside the arms are replaced with machine guns. The arms open up to reveal a machine gun, much like Gundam Alex in Gundam 80. Except Gundam Alex had small Gatling Guns, whereas my Skye Gundam features only machine guns. The beam sabres are a big improvement too. As you can see, they're now designed to be like a single bladed sword. Anybody who has seen Zeta Gundam and remembers The O knows what I'm talking about. Unlike The O, these swords can attach to one another in one of three different ways. They can attach at the sides of the handle, creating a double bladed sword. They can attach at the back of the handles creating a double bladed sword, each blade with it's back to one another (Anybody who has played Final Fantasy VIII and seen Twin Lance, knows what I'm talking about) Finally, they can attach at the pommel to create a Beam Swallow, like the Gelgoog from Mobile Suit Gundam. The shield looks slightly different, but it's basically the same thing. Just a little larger and a little lighter, with the same defensive capabilities of the old shield. The hand equipped machine gun is replaced with a Beam Machinegun, featured at the bottom right. Each shot has the power of Gundam Velocity's old beam rifle, but it fires rapidly, like a machine gun. The Beam Rifle is replaced with a Beam Cannon, featured at the bottom left. This large, powerful rifle, fires massive beams, capable of decimating most any cyclops mobile suit.

Overall, the Skye gundam is about three times faster, and more maneuverable, than the old Gundam Velocity. Meaning, the pilot REALLY has his work cut out for him.
