Break 01

This is my second Dragon Ball OC, Break, whose name is a parody on the word Breakfast. You'll notice I kept Akira Toriyama's (the creatour of Dragon Ball) method of naming in mind when I named both her and my previous DBOC, Rule.

You'll notice there are multiple pictures of her. Just as the rest of the main cast changes with age throughout the continuity of the story, so does she. When I refer to her during the storyline description, I'll refer to each character design chronologically, left to right, top to bottom, so as to avoid confusion.

Personality - She is flirtatious, and doesn't care one way or the other about fighting. She is responsible, and often scolds others for being immature. She is something of a tomboy.
Story - 1/2 - She makes her debut at the very end of the episode in question. Known as Mirai Break (Future Break) she is from Mirai Trunks (Future Trunks) timeline. In the future, her father, Rule, was slain by the two Androids, while her mother, Lunch, had survived. Lunch used to always make Rule cut his hair so he'd look more masculine and less feminine, but after his death at the hands of the Androids, she vowed never to force her daughter, Rule, to do likewise. Though she was never able to compare to the two Androids wreacking havoc on their homeworld, and as a result never actually battled them, she did train a little to defend herself should the need arise. She went with Trunks into the past to guard the Time Machine, to make sure they had a ride back home. The audience doesn't see her until Trunks returns to the time machine, and the main cast doesn't see her until she and Trunks make the return trip back in time. She returns with Trunks to inspect why their timeline didn't change with their past interference. At this point, she becomes a powerful primary fighter. Though she can't compare to Androids 16, 17, and 18, she at least tries. When Break discovers that her past self was already born, she deduces that she doesn't really need to keep her identity a secret anymore. At that point, she makes a formal introduction to the rest of the main cast, which stuns most present, ultimately bringing up the point of Trunks' identity.
3 - When the threat makes itself known, and the main cast is preparing for the Cell Games, Break and Rule don Buruma's (Bulma's) customized Saiya-jin Armour (Saiyan Armour) and train together in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. They form a father/daughter bond, and earn Vegeta's respect. After Cell is defeated, she returns to her time with Trunks to finally take care of the Androids. She allows Trunks the satisfaction of destroying the two Androids, but helps beat Cell up a bit before handing him over to Trunks to land the finishing blow. With the threat averted, life can return to normal, and Break forms a romantic relationship with Trunks.
4 - The present Break grows up to be a child about Trunks and Goten's ages. She's still flirtatious to a degree, but much more playful than even Mirai Break used to be. Since both parents are alive today, Lunch makes Break cut her hair short so she doesn't look too feminine, resulting in something of a tomboyish flare to her personality. She's most often seen playing with Trunks and Goten. When Trunks and Goten apply for the Tenkaichi Budoukai (World Martial Arts Tournament) Juniour Division, Break chooses to cheer them on, rather than enter and compete. She perishes when Majin Buu devours her, along with a great majority of the cast, upon his escape from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, she's become a much more avid fighter, and said to have competed in a previous Tenkaichi Budoukai Juniour Division and emerged Champion, though the event was never shown.
5/6 - In Dragon Ball GT, the influence of both parents raising Break has had little effect on her personality. She still flirts, but much less often now, however, due to her mother's influence. Due to her father's influence, she strives to make herself better and see how far she can go. Ultimately, she's still playful, and forms a great friendship between Trunks and Pan, and enjoys seeing the two argue. Though she wasn't initially intended to travel into space to collect the Dragon Balls, she just so happened to be on the space ship when Pan playfully pressed the ignition. Against Bebi (Baby) Break doesn't become particularly useless until he makes his way to Earth and takes control over the populace. Afterwards, in the conflict against Super Android 17 and the escaped convicts from Hell (HFIL) Break becomes a much more avid fighter. She teaches Pan the Fusion Dance, and fuses with her (I still can't decide if I wanna call her Peak or Bran) to battle Super 17. When Gokuh makes himself known during the battle, Super 17 escapes combat. When she gives chase, she is perturbed to discover that her time limit is over, and Break and Pan separate again. During the Evil Shenron Saga, she aids Gokuh and Pan in collecting the Dragon Balls from the Evil Shenrons, but proves to be of little help in the final battle. After Gokuh says his final farewells, she returns home with her parents.
It is debateable that in the hundered years that follow, Break marries Trunks, while the much more likely scenario is that Trunks marries Pan. However, it is never explicitly stated what happened. Just that Pan is now a grandmother, and her grandson is Gokuh Jr., while the Buruma-look-alike's son is Vegeta Jr. Everything is left to the viewer's speculation.
Fun fact - When I first designed Break, I debated whether I should make her a tomboyish girl, or a effeminate guy. Regardless as to what I would've chosen, the character designs you see here, would not have changed. Ultimately, I decided to make her a tomboyish girl.
